Training? Do we really need it?

“And He will judge between many peoples And render decisions for mighty, [a]distant nations.  Then they will beat their swords into plowshares,  And their spears into pruning hooks; Nation will not lift a sword against nation, And never again will they [b]train for war.” Micah 4:3, New American Standard Bible

On November 6, 2021 beginning at 8 am we will have our semi-annual fall training for volunteers.  The place will be Genesis Church, 623 NE 5th St, Moore, OK 73160.

With many county jails still closed and not allowing volunteers in, you may wonder if we really need it?  Of course, we do.  There are many changes in the jails more now than ever and to stay in good standing and able to keep working for the Lord in those places we need to stay up to date on changes.

Hebrews 5:14 refers to God’s word as food.  Just because a baby has moved from liquids to solid, would you stop feeding them?  Of course, you would not, as we should not stop preparing for the battle we face when we go into the jails.  We need to stay fed up in the policy and procedure changes.

With that being said, we hope to see you at the training on Saturday, November 6.  There you will have a chance to see the various Site Chaplains and meet other Volunteer Chaplains .

We will have a time for questions and answers.  As always, there will be coffee and snacks ready when you arrive.

Please if you know of a friend that is interested in the ministry, bring them with you.  We love to meet new prospective volunteers and answer as many questions as we can.

If you have any questions or just need directions, feel free to give me a call 405-917-2242.  No worries, if I am not at the office the call will be forwarded to my cell.

God Bless
